Setting up a Firestick to allow 3rd party Apps is relatively easy if you follow the correct steps. What you are doing is making the Firestick allow the downloading of non Amazon apps from the Amazon store. Everyone asks “Is this legal?” The answer is absolutely. The apps discussed and shown on this site are downloaded from authorized app stores and for the most part, excluding premium upgrades, are free to download and use. So lets get started on getting your Firestick ready to download and install 3rd party apps.

Go to the home screen of your Firestick by clicking the Home button on your Firestick remote.

Go to settings on the home screen.

Select My Fire TV from the options menu.

Select Developer Options.

If you don’t see Developer Options Click on About once.

Now click on Fire TV Stick 7 times.

Now you can see Developer Options.

Open Developer Options and turn ADB bugging On.

Go back to the Home screen using the Home button on your remote.

Go to Find and the Search. Click on search to enter the keyboard and search for Downloader.

Select Downloader and click download, then install.

Click Open to open the downloader app.

When the App opens click Allow and OK.

Go back to Developer Options and open.

Click Install Unknown Apps.

Click on Downloader and select On.

You are now ready to download and install 3rd party apps such as Tivimate.
